Mixing memory

hi i have 512 mb of samsung 184 pin pc 3200 ram that came in my computer. is it a bad idea to get a different brand of memory or doesnt it matter as long as the speeds are the same? i am looking at getting this http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-144-160&depa=1 would it be ok to get this memory/

Ive never had any problems mixing different brands of name brand RAM. I think most of the problems are with the off brand broker grade stuff.

I would suggest getting the same brand that you currently have, or upgrading it comepletely. I have also not had problems personally, but have come across many machines who have problems. It's up to you.

I foregot to mention that you should check with your motherboard manufacturers website to see if they reccomend particular brands or brands that cause problems.

I will have to agree with Poertner's suggestion. Go for extra memory of the same brand.
