Monitor For New System

Hey, I am building a new PC soon, and I am going for a 22 inch wide screen LCD monitor. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, how much do things like response time and contrast ratio really matter, and what are some acceptable values for those specs on the monitor?
System Specs
- 8800GT (1)
- Q6600 Quad Core Processor
- 4GB DDR2 800 RAM

have a look here for monitors. And i don't really think things like the constrast ratio really matters but if you want a fast monitor with sharp images then yeah why not! acceptable prices would be around £250-£300.

Viewsonic makes good monitors. That is...I like the image that I have from every Viewsonic that I've ever owned. I think the best color definition I've ever seen is from NEC monitors. I imagine that they make a 22" but I didn't Google that and I've never seen one from their company. Best thing to do is go out and look as much as you can.
