  1. Ok I've reinstalled windows multiple times and I keep getting the same BSOD's. they are manly IRQL not less or equal errors, but these are all the minidumps I have. it mostly happens when I use any DVD burning program, but sometimes it does it randomly.

I've studied your minidumps. One minudmp crashes with bugcheck code 1A and one with 24, two crashes with D1. The culprit is bad ram.

    1. Reseat RAM to another memory slot
    2. Downclock the RAM
    3. If you have two memory stick. Take out one of them. If it does not crash, the removed RAM is faulty.

You say the error happens when you burn CD's in different programs .What are the programs you have installed. Many , like Nero do not like to share; check Web site for Conflicting Software. And Check the Event veiwer for error messages.

I have the same programs installed on that comp that I do on this one. Decryptor, shrink, and Nero, this one never has had that problem.

Do you convince it is faulty RAM?

Ok I replaced the ram and now it is giving me a Memory Management BSOD..........and I am positive the new ram is working since I took it right out of this system.

Maybe your problem have multiple culprits and bad RAM is one of them. After you replace the RAM. your Wondows gets another bugcheck code. Attach the latest minidump here if you want to know why your windows still crash.

    Two of your minidump crashes with bugcheck D1. BugCheck 100000D1, {0, 2, 0, 0}
    Probably caused by : cmuda.sys ( cmuda+4844 )

If windows crashes when you play games, you may find the solution from the following URL.

And I tryed playing a game and it did the same thing no bluescreen. But whenever I burn a dvd I get the BSOD, and randomly too. Pease help.

After examinating your latest dump. I'm very sure that it is hardware error.
One minidump crashes at IRQL x'1c' which is clock level interrupt and two mindumps crash with bugcheck code 8E and nt status code x'1d'. Most likely the culprit is faulty M/B.

It is a hardware problem. Your latest minidump still have a lot of memory corruption. If you don't believe it is hardware problem. Post your problem to another forum. As software may also caused memory problem although it is quite rare. You can re-install windows. If BSOD still exists, you will be convinced it is hardware problem.

OMG! I have the exact same problem. I ran memtest86 and it says there's nothing wrong. Here are my specs:

    Acer Travelmate 250 (Laptop)
    256mb Ram
    40gb Drive
    Intel Extreme Graphics
    Onboard Sound
Matshida DVD Drive (doesn't work, the drive is busted)

Seems to do it randomly; although it likes to happen alot after high CPU usage--maybe it's a bad CPU?

Heh, the minidumps would be a problem--I have them turned off because the BSODs were so frequent. I'll post more about them. But I know I have the same problem since I was also getting the different BSODs like he was (DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, MEMORY_MANAGMENT). I was actually getting 3 different kinds of BSODs:

I'll turn on minidumps and I'll post one when it does it again.

Probably it is faulty ram. You can run memtest to stress the ram. If memtest reports the ram is faulty, ram is bad. However Memtest is not a perfect tool to test the memory as some faulty can pass memtest. Try reseat the memory stick to another memory slot and clean the dust inside your PC.
  24. arnoct

    arnoct TS Rookie

The problem is it's a laptop and I've already tried reseating the ram. It's only a year old and it's not dusty at all. Could it be the processor overheating? I notice it usually happens when the processor gets hot.
