My computer blue screens whenever I play games

My computer has been blue screening whenever i play games like battlefield or call of duty. I have windows 7. i7 dual core processecor. that is all i know about my compter. I will only be able to play for like 15 minutes and then it blue screens. I preety sure it has to do with the hardware but im not sure if it's a virus. none of the games lag though which i find is odd. I need help fast MW3 is coming out soon.

Ok, first off its not a virus.

Your getting the BSOD because your GPU is overheating. What type of cooling you have ? Set the GPU fan manually to 100 percent and then play game. Open case side,, open a window turn on AC. Its not sotware related, I feel strongly your GPU is getting too hot or possibly a motherboard issue , give us more info about your system thx, gl

i have submitted to a bunch of other forums. They said to use the program blue screen viewer. It shows you all the minidumps. it said that the file hal.dll is causing the problem, i think it might be corrupt. If you could tell me how to delete it because i know how to replace it. Im not sure if this is the problem but if you could let me now that would be great. Also one person gave me this link to what might be causing the problem. ill give u the link when i have 5 posts

No! Don't delete hal.dll because it is an essential Windows driver. Do the following...

How to find and post your Minidump Files:

My Computer > C Drive > Windows Folder > Minidump Folder > Minidump Files.

It is these files that we need (not the folder). Attach to your next post the five most recent dumps. Notice the Manage Attachments button at the bottom when you go to post the next time. You can Zip up to five files per Zip; if you only have one or two you don’t need to zip them, just attach as is. Please do us a favor and don’t Zip each one individually.

* Also, tweakboy may be correct on the heat issue because heat will shut down a system fast.

This may be caused by a bad or weak power supply. HAL.dll is a symptom not the problem
