My file is corrupted

I wrote a Word file then saved it as a PDF file. My machine was infected. The malware destroyed both the Word and the PDF files. I think the PDF is less infected because its size is fine. I searched the web to find out how to repair it but no good result!
I think there should be some way at least to recover some data from it.
Do you know any real way to repair it please?

Thanks in advance.

Some software might claim to be able to do it. In any case, it's a marketing scam. Except for some very simple checks, no one can really, reliably repair some arbitrary corruption.

Forget about it. Delete and restore from backup.

You should never try to recover a previously infected file, especially if said file is corrupted or has been altered by a previous infection. You have no idea what code has been injected into the file or what will happen if you try to execute it.

This scenario is exactly why you should create regular backups.

The only safe course of action is to delete the file(s).

You should understand that a file that was infected, if recovered or used to export usable content,
is H I G H L Y likely to also recover the infection :sigh:

You should kill the malware first ,then go to search some data recovery soft in Google.at last , use the soft you get in Google to repair your broken data back.
