My soundcard seems to be broken...HELP

  1. There's something wrong with the audio on my computer. Every time I try to play an audio file a warning pops up reading "no audio device detected" even though the speakers are plugged in and on. Furthermore, when my speakers are off my monitor normally played the music through IT'S speakers. Now instead of there beaing beaps when actions happen my CPS makes a beeping noise. It's very disconcerting and I'd like my audio back...what do I do?

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

First thing to try is reinstalling your soundcard drivers.

Check in your device manager to see if there are any yellow exclamation, or question marks next to your audio devices.
