Need help with my flash drive

Hi I got a new flash drive and istalled it it says that its installed but can`t open it checked for it in my computer but cant find it it shows thats it in add or remove and its on my desktop tool bar just can`t open it to put files in it this is all new to me please help thanks

It needs to have a valid partition and be formatted (FAT32 often preferred) before it is viewable in My Computer.

Start > Run > diskmgmt.msc

There are some other possible problems as well, but check to make sure it has a partition and is formatted first.
