Need new HDD for Acer Aspire 1680

Well booted up my laptop yesterday and ubuntu came up saying that my hdd is dieing

I believe I found the correct hdd but just want to double check - should any of these fit in it??

Well there's a few different brands on that sales site, but yours originally came with:
One 30 GB and above E-IDE hard disk (2.5”, 9.5mm, UltraDMA-100)
So search for that type of thing

Actually it came with a mk8025gas 80gig Toshiba hdd - which ways its a "ATA-6 Interface (ATA-100) for 100MB/sec" I am mainly wondering if it takes one of the ATA-6 HDD or the UltraATA-100 hdd. I am guess the ATA-6, and thats the link I posted for neweggs list of ATA-6 laptop hdd's. I have just never bought a hdd for a laptop before, and want to make sure it will fit.

so does it take an IDE Ultra ATA100 or the ATA-6??

i have been trying to figure out which one it took since before I made my first post .

anyways....I think ill get thins one:

Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD1600BEVE 160GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5" ATA-6 Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive

I have had good luck with WD in the past

so....anyone want to buy it for Christmas for me
