New build question, necessary to reinstall OS?

My current setup consists of an Asus M2n-E Socket AM2 board with an AMD X2 3800+ CPU running XP Pro.

I want to make the change to intel quad core setup and was wondering if its necessary to reinstall the OS?

Reason being is that i have a little complex setup consisting of 4 HD's in a dual boot setup as i use one for general use and the other XP for music production, and i really would not want to go through the reinstall process again.

Since you are going to change mobos, understand that the hard drive has all the drivers for the AMD boards chipsets installed. You are definitely going to have to reinstall.
