New computer crashed 3 times in 2 days

my brand new computer has crashed 3 times in 2 days

Go to Dell's website, find your laptop model and update your all drivers. Sometimes that is all it takes. Let us know if it brings stability.

now my windows explorer will not stay open. Dell is telling me i need to wipe out my whole computer.

Do you have a recovery disk? Can you get into safe mode as it is booting by pressing F8?

What is Dell's reason for directing you to wipe your harddrive?

This aint a helpful reply but that is disgusting, can't you just take it to where you bought it from?

they gave me steps on how to do a factory reset. has anyone ever seen problems with gufivpdu.dll or vbapepc.dll

If you google both those .dll's there is nothing on the internet about either of them.

Since this is new it is still under warrenty don't let them give you any grief about it being your problem. Your PC file system may be corrupt but personally their reply was bunk. They just didn't want to deal with it and so they cast it on to you.

Unless you are dealing with warze, pron sites, or bit torrents and you've been infected wiping a harddrive is a last resort and once you wipe clean you'll need the Windows OS disk to reload Windows.
