New pc conflict

-- I built a new computer , the conflict is when i turn on my pc i never get to the bois for somereason nothing desplays on the screeen. When i look into the case everything is on, only thing thats doesnt seem to work is the dvd roms dont open ,,, no noise is made from the MB and the green light is on,,,,

Bad ram or ram not fully seated can casue the no video problem. Did you double check to make sure that the power connectors are firmly seated in the optical drives?
