Im considering purchasing a Toshiba Regza 32AV615DB 32-inch Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV
and using it as a monitor for my system. Can anyone tell me if this is a good idea? Are there any draw backs to using a LCD TV as a monitor for my system? My specs E8500, Asus P5N32-E SLI, 4Gb DDR2 677Mhz, GTX275

I currently use a vizio 23 inch TV as my computer monitor. The only drawback is the 1920*1080 resolution. If you want to get higher than this, you will need a computer monitor. (and quite frankly, wouldn't get anything less than 1080p resolution for computing)

However, 1080p is more than enough clarity for you to sit on your couch and read from the TV (32 inches).

Your PC should have enough power to push 1080 resolution or higher with your gtx275. The physical size of the TV doesn't play any role in performance.
