No connection after wireless card installed

I am having issues with a wireless trendnet card, I found the driver for it and it is working, however it will only connnect to unsecured networks not secured. It is a Wireless g card. Any help in the matter would be appreciated.

You have to supply the proper ID's and passwords for the secured networks, in order for the wireless network card to connect
