No sound no audio device

hi every since i reinsalled windows evrything else works but my sound..
i trie to do everything but it just keeps saying no audio device is there any ways u can help.
i have a hp labtop windows xp

Have you tried installing drivers for your sound device. Windows installation disc rarely has drivers for many types of audio devices.

If you haven't got a seperate disc that contains them try visiting the HP website and searching for your system model.
