No sound! problem with multimedia audio controler

hi. i dont know the first thing about computers so please help! my computer became riddled with viruses a while back so i had to delete a load of stuff to get rid of it and somehow accidently deleted my sound. I get beeps and things but nothing when i try and play sound. When i go into device manage i have a big yellow ? beside multimedia audio controller and under sound, video etc i have : audio codecs, legacy audio drivers, legacy video capture devices, media control devices and video codecs but when i go into them they all say working correctly. The other thing is i dont have the disc for my computer so cant use that to download things which i see other folk have been advised.
Dont know what info you need but i have a toshiba equium M70 if thats any help
I really hope someone can help because i really need my sound back.

You should start by visiting www.toshiba.com, clicking on Support and then to support for Toshiba computers. Click on the Download link there (is for driver downloads)

Then identify what computer you have and you should get the full list of drivers available for that machine.
