No sound

I've fixed my previous issues, and now I don't have any sound.
There is no problems with my sound,video and games controller. And the sound icon is not on my task bar.

..Are the drivers still installed?

Go to Start > Run > devmgmt.msc. See anything with a yellow question mark?

everything is normal, no question marks.

no i had to install windows 2000. i had a problem with xp and couldnt find my disc.

You could try uninstalling the soundcard driver, then restarting your computer, go into safe mode(F8) and reinstall the driver again and see what happens.
