I agree with your viewpoints, yRaz.But he makes em count. He's gone around Congress a bunch of times, almost none of it legal.

And why this week of all weeks are we having this argument again? The current headlines in the news are all about how France can't keep track of all it's radical muslims, which basically means that the US won't know about them either, since we rely on France to keep us informed. These radicals all have French passports, and that's a big problem since they can enter the US anytime they want.
At least wait until the next news cycle before going off about surveillance because right now there are 12 dead people who are proving again that terrorism is alive and well.
That wouldn't have anything to do with congress refusing to cooperate. Obama has to bypass congress because congress is absolutely failing to act on anything at all. Hell, congress just insured wall streets illegal trading with tax payer money and you're worried about Obama's executive orders? And I don't think you understand what exactly an executive order is, or what it means when one is signed. They are, in the vast majority of cases, legal. Hell, executive orders are by definition legal requiring a super majority in both the house and senate to repeal. Do you have any orders you'd like to point out as illegal? Or are you just rehashing what you hear on faux?
But above all, what I took way from your post is that you would willingly give up your rights to fight terrorists that might, in the future attack us. However, what happened in France was racially motivated and really has nothing to do with Americans.
I will put this terrorism thing in perspective for you. There will be more Americans killed in car accidents this month than will be killed by terrorists in the next 10 years. Another fun fact is that Americans are 9 times more likely to be killed by a police officer in their own community than a terrorist.
Really? Then I suppose the NSA should be allowed to continue to move forward with its surveillance program since it is essentially unchecked? The answer is called 'Checks and Balances' It's a rock/paper/scissors type of organization.Who watches the watchmen?![]()

Another interesting statistic for our friends is that medical mistakes kill more people than car accidents http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-many-die-from-medical-mistakes-in-us-hospitals/

Wow! Rock/paper/scissors! I thought we left that decision making method back in the first grade. But then again, straw men are really appealing to those who want to think they know something about an issue.

Well if you've been paying attention to recent leaks you'd see that all of these programs are running out of control and are completely disregarding the constitution. Are you serious? Checks and Balances.... did you think maybe you should google it if you haven't heard of it. it's not a 1st grade method, it's in the constitution. It's how govt prevents any one area from getting too strong. http://www.congressforkids.net/Constitution_checksandbalances.htm
It's how the question of 'who watches the watchmen' was answered a long time ago, and the answer is, 'they watch each other'. If you want to know how (or if) this applies to the intelligence organizations, try googling it.
Which is why we have a story explaining who was supposed to be watching them - the FBI. Looks like we should be blaming them.Well if you've been paying attention to recent leaks you'd see that all of these programs are running out of control and are completely disregarding the constitution.
what you don't seem to be understanding is that all of these agencies are wildly out of control and violating our rights as citizens. They are not keeping each other in check. These programs are also exorbitantly expensive to run. They are using our tax dollars to spy on us. And while we don't have anything to worry about if we aren't doing anything, if we aren't doing anything, why are they watching?Which is why we have a story explaining who was supposed to be watching them - the FBI. Why do these programs even exist when so many people disapprove of them?
Because even if you don't like them we need them to stop the people who are planning to attack us. Like yesterday the FBI stopped someone from bombing the capital.

And guess what, they found him legally through the use of hashtags on twitter, not through the us of illegal wiretaps they have in place on tens of millions of Americans
