Oblivion game error or something

Everytime i the game loads up into the menu i click on new and it stucks and doesnt responds anymore help pls.

No offense intended but did you proofread what you tried to write?

Did you install all the game patches? If you are running Vista, try changing the compatibility mode.

well i installed all the game and the upgrades from the cd thats all i did and how do i change the compatibility mode because everytime i get to the manu bit the game stops responding

You don't have to run the game in order to change the compatibility mode. Right-click the desktop icon for the game, click Properties, click the Compatibility tab and then set the compatibility mode.

Game patches are downloaded from various websites. Google for the patches. Once you download them, you still have to install them.
