Online Video

Hi,

I'm using windows media player to watch some online streeming but it freezes every couple of seconds for like a millsecond with the sound still playing. Also the quality isnt very good massive blur round the objects. Any suggestions?

1MB Connection
1GB DDR2 RAM

I also have a 1MB connection, and video streaming still isn't high quailty and occasional freezes. Video streaming needs alot of speed.

What type of video card are you using?... Onboard or a separate card?

Increasing the streaming buffer is pretty much the only thing you can do, I think (unless there's some sort of automatic image quality control).

Otherwise the quality is up to the server streaming files or whoever encoded them. But the better quality you get the more it usually skips.

Streaming video will even work on a dialup connection as long as the CPU is fast and there is plenty of system memory available

Its separate I think it is PCI
