Out of scan range

Dears Experts,
Please help me as i am facing trouble with my Dell 17" Monitor

i have 850 MHZ board with 128 mb SD ram

Problem is that when i load a new SD 256 mb ram in slot 2 and start my computer its loads XP fine and memory is loaded and showing 384 mb its looks fine i turned my system off and when i start it again after a day its not working mean Windows XP not loading and a Error on Monitor is showing "Out of scan range" on black display.
Now what I do please help me out
Am I needed to change my monitor or problem could be solved?

Your resolution is not supported by the monitor, Press F8 just before the windows splash screen and choose safe mode.

once booted up set your display settins to 800x600 and apply then reboot the pc
