Handheld maker Palm is putting itself up for sale according to Bloomberg sources, who assert the company is already working with Goldman Sachs and Qatalyst Partners to find a buyer. Seems like that would be a smart purchase for a company like HTC, provided the price wasn't ridiculous. Just having the patents could be worth the price of admission. It would also help to tighten the market, pulling 1 competing product out of circulation.

I hate Palm, I have a VIIx and it was my first and last PDA, pathetically unreliable.
I sent it back to palm for repair, and they sent it back not repaired and flaky as ever.
By flaky: Doesn't turn on half the time, even with fresh batteries. Turns off while in use? Gone out too long, all the software is gone (reset), major pain.
It only worked properly for me at the time, for a month?
