For background, Parallels Desktop is a means to run Win/XP on an Intel Mac,
giving the benefits of both systems.
It is working well, all except the printing to a local machine. The concepts for
printing are the same as printing from XP to a printer attached to a Mac,
ie: Add Network Printer, ignore the true printer make/model number and use
the Apple Laserwriter PS or Apple Color Laserwriter PS print drivers. The print
job gets spooled via the network to the remote printer. In this case, it's
the printer attached to the same box, just being operated by the other OS.
I've seen Parallels Desktop print for other Macs, just not the one I'm working on
The setup goes well up to the point of installing the Apple LZ drivers where
it complains "operation could not be completed". grrrr.
Parallel Tools is installed correctly and the Mac Disk Tool was run to verify and repair
all permissions. Attempt to reinstall the network printer still fails.
Any Ideas?
