    About time. There's so many cool lighting technologies around the place which are both easy and cheap, but they just need to go mainstream to avoid the 'new' tax.

    This looks like it works like a LCD TV backlight/diffuser.

    80 CRI is actually not impressive at all, and it's compared to a black body radiator technically, rather than daylight.

    What's wrong with just using wax candles? it save a ton in energy costs, they just have to work on the safety a bit more.
