Photoshop 7 error message on Mac OS X 10.6.8

I need to make a collage or montage for a website banner so I tried installing my 10 year old Photoshop 7. 0 on my Macbook Pro. I get the message:

Adobe error message 'An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred because of a program error. Photoshop will now exit.

Is there any hope for this project?

Well, are you sure your Photoshop 7 wasn't a Windows only edition? Just kidding, I think...
