Porn makes up 30% of the total data transferred across the Internet

What's impressive is that the other 90% of the data transferred across the internet is transferred utilizing only 10% of the time spent on the internet! This assumes, of course, that porn is wildly inefficient, taking 3x longer to extract utility (see: consume) than it does to write to disk or stream.

Well, that's what's so time consuming in acquiring good porn. It's so hard to decide which pictures, of which naked women, you should bother to download. Since when you turn them upside down, they all look alike.....

Surprisingly low for what i thought made up Internet traffic. I can't seem go through 2 websites without having some sort of "big jugs" porn banner in my face...

That reminds me, I really should clean my browsing history out.

Well, this begs the question, "at which 2 websites did you start"?

Other than that, I suggest you re-evaluate all your browser settings, your browser of choice, your AV "Solution", and whatever else you can think of.

Oh yeah, and run Firefox with either "NoScript", or "AdBlock +". It sounds like you need both, plus a full system scan.

Or if you use IE9, enable tracking protection, "You personalized list" or get a list online.
Or better still, use "Private Browsing" or "InPrivate Browsing"
Don't ask me how I know that.

Touche. ;)

But yeah, my comment was made more in jest, I switched to Firefox a few week ago (with Adblock +). But before that i was using an 'unprotected' IE and used to get porn ads pretty much all over the place, so it really does surprise me at the 30% figure.

I too felt IE was "unprotected". Using Tracking Protection feels much like Adblock though. Works in the same way I think.

See if you follow this; NoScript blocks script. Flash video needs script to run. Install "NoScript", and you get no more bouncing boobies. Somebody's rack might sneak through once in a while, but it will be stationary.

Haha you mean the ad banners and the vid won't move? I dunno, I trying to quit porn to focus on engineering studies. YouTube works when Tracking protection is enabled, and the ads at filehippo.com are hidden, so it has sufficient success I think. The only thing I hate about IE9 is that it doesn't show what it's doing, unlike FF (I'm not talking about the status bar, but the floating ribbon above it. The one which says 'transferring data', 'connecting', 'looking up', 'connected', 'waiting', etc. MS thinks we're too stupid to understand that. 'Stupidification of Windows' as you put it.
