My friend had a power cut in his street , he has two computers when power was restored one pc works another will not ? the power light comes on then goes off ,not sure what we can check ?
no, the Power Supply Unit, the thing that the power lead connects to on your computer. he could have had a surge and blew the power supply. if it smells like burnt dust or something then it probably needs to be replaced or checked out...
ive checked the power supply when i move the power lead about gently the light flickers at the back of the pc i switch it off n on and the light comes on then goes off , so i tryed my lead same thing can the resulting power cut that he had damage his power pack supply ?
