Power SUpply 20 pin

ok i have a 20 pin power supply and my mother board is a 24 pin. can i still plug in my 20 pin power supply into the 24 pin motherboard?

You need to buy a 20 to 24 pin converter. They only cost a few bucks.

I would suggested looking at getting a different power supply. While Howard is right that will get you going I have seen some cases where the computer just acted a little bit flaky using one of those adaptors. Replaced the power supply with a 24pin and put the 20 pin in another machine and both machines ran perfectly after that.

just got my case and it has the 4pin already attatched to the 20 pin yay!

Forgot about mentioning that. That is the way alot of power supplies on coming now so they they work with either need you may have. Although I think most motherboards are starting to head to 24pin connectors.
