Prices of high-end RTX 3000 cards keep falling

MSRP is just a joke now. 3080ti for 599, maybe. Well, then again. That's $600 bucks I could use to buy something I need. F@ck nVidia and their inflated prices. Goes for AMD as well.

A Joke? Inflated prices? Compared to WHAT?

- The GeForce 8800 Ultra retailed for $850 in 2007.
- The GeForce 780Ti retailed for $700 in 2013.
- The GeForce 1080Ti retailed for $700 in 2017.

It's 2022 folks. A $700 - $800 retail price that destroys past products 5-15 years ago by magnitudes seems rather reasonable, actually. If you can get one now for retail (and you can) they are actually cheaper than past models after adjusting for inflation and - you know, time.

Go buy a console then, enjoying the vastly inferior performance and knowing that you will never be able to upgrade its graphics performance.

As disappointing as the RTX 40 series pricing is, the "new" prices for RTX 30 series seem, in fact, to be nothing new:

RTX 3060 starting at 329.

Exactly the launch price when it was introduced.
Except, this card is now last generation and 2 years old. Selling for the exact same price it did in 2020.
