Hi guys.
My laptop always perform this autochk everytime before starting Windows (Windows 7)
Then this error appears after I'm logged in into Windows.

C:\AMD\lsass\wmi.vbe

ERROR: 8007002

At first I didn't really bother but after awhile it kinda bugging me.
I can't open my pc defrag, CPU usage is high and my laptop becomes slow.
And everytime I try to use command prompt to run chkdsk it failed. it says something like "chckdsk can't proceed etc etc"
I tried scanning with Anti MalwareBytes but scanned no threats.

Thank you so much.

Umm? CHKDSK? Should run on C: when you do a restart. If it isn't cued to run then something is messing it up. wmi.vbe is some kind of embedded script and I am unsure it plays nice. You could change it name (wmi.vbe to wmiOLD.OLDvbe) to see if this is causing the problem. After reboot, revisit the old file to see if it changed or a new file was created.

Yea it’s on C.. but it can’t do the checking..

Need to determine why not. Did you change wmi.vbe to wmiOLD.OLDvbe and then try to reboot with request for CHKDSK in place??

And the CPU usage is still high even though my computer is in idle state.. but the task manager shows nothing. Kinda weird.

Lets try getting command prompt and running plain chkdsk . It should run and check the disk but not change anything.

Errors?

Remove request to run autochk and re-boot.

How does it run?

It saya theres error but cant fix in “read only” mode. So I tried dskchk c: /r but same error appeared.

OK, looks like damage to disk - so this may not work -
1st> make backup of your files

2nd> follow Leo's instructions for running CHKDSK from an administrative level

3rd> follow Microsoft instruction to run DISM and then SFC

If the steps above fail, be thankful for your backup because next step is a choice of:
=> buy new storage and do a clean install of your OS and use the failing HDD as a secondary data backup....OR
=> do a clean install of OS and hope it will salvage your storage drive.
