Hi,
i'm having troubles enabling the "AGP Fast Write"-Option in Bios..
After upgrading my ati 9600 to ati x700 everytime i installed the catalyst drivers, the system crashed after reboot (directly after switching from the win2k-logo to the login-screen - bad graphical errors followed by black screen). I first thought it was the graphic-card itself, but it's properly working in a friend's system with the same mainboard. After suspecting my PSU, i talked to my vendor who guaranteed that the PSU was working properly in much more consuming systems than mine. So i checked the bios' properties and disabled the "AGP Fast Write"-Option, what made the system boot without any problems.. If I now turn it on, system crashes again...
What may that cause? is it a damage on the motherboard (AGP-Slot)? May it be the bios' fault?
System:
CPU: AMD Athlon 3000+
Mainboard: ASUS K8V-X
Memory: Corsair Select Kit 512 x 2 (=1024)
PSU: 400W
OS: Win2K
