Removable Media

Hello. I can't get a junk drive to register as E:\ on a Lenovo T61p laptop. It recognizes that new hardware has been added, but will never appear as a drive. Is there something turned on somewhere that I need to turn off?

Use Windows Disk Management.

Start->Run, enter: diskmgmt.msc
Find your device
Rt click the device, select Change Drive Letter and pick a new one

btw.. if you use Vista, may have to tweak Start->Run. If you don't see Run in Vista

enter cmd in Instant Search search box after clicking Start
You see it get listed above under Programs
Rt click Run as Adminstrator
then is the same
