Hi!
I suppose the title is pretty strait forward...
I need to repair windows because no matter what my computer keeps restarting. Even when I go into safe mode and Last known good configuration.
But when I go to repair windows, it goes past the agreement then says:
"Setup could not read the CD you inserted, or the CD is not a valid Windows CD."

Its says Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition on the CD and says Upgrade on the top... So am I able to use this CD to repair windows???

Thanks for any help! :)

I've tryed cleaning drives and I've used several different ones also and the cd is clean.
But I still keep getting the message...
I do have a Windows XP Professional CD. Can I use it to just recover instead of wiping the whole hard drive? I'm trying to avoid wiping out the whole hard drive as best I can.
