Restoring registry from CCleaner save points

i think ccleaner may have screwed up my registry with one of its fixes; is there anyway to find the relevant/possible save and restore it? I think that might be causing my error1402.

ccleaner says do you want to save the registry and I always do, religiously, but it does not say how to get them back.
if anyone could help me with this I would be awful grateful.

Access the System Restore using the HELP in the Taskbar and (X) the Restore My System.

When using Ccleaner you are prompted for a location to save the back-up. If you do not change the default location it is My Documents or Documents. To restore the deleted items right click on the back up and choose Merge. Confirm your choice.

Note: I honestly doubt Ccleaner is the culprit of your issue. What is the issue?
