I have 35 running processes is this normal?
If not how can I stop them running?

any info. would be of help!
 
It is perfectly normal. If you are worried then feel free to post the process list here and we'll tell you if there is something bad or what you don't need.

Nothing bad there.. Some of them are rather useless like the QuickTime, Real, Logitech and nVidia thingies. You may be able to live without the HP printer/scanner and the modem processes too.
 
you can stop processes from running by amending the Startup via msconfig.

go to
Start, Run
type "msconfig" without the quotation marks....

System Configuration Utility will come up......

Click on the Startup tab and see what runs at startup......then you can Disable whicever ones you dont want running.....like realsched.exe - i HATE realplayer

probably be best to check on google for each of the processes - see what they are, what they do and decide if you need them....

BTW - 35 processes isnt alot....
