Samsung and SK Hynix are jacking up DRAM prices by as much as 70 percent

If every hardware manufacturer decides to shift ~90% of their capacity towards the proliferation of AI, because every other technology-based sector of the economy is on the verge of starving and/or dead, and selling products to people is no longer profitable, then with what devices are these AI "services" being accessed? We're just gonna stop making consumer-facing devices at all, because there's no parts available, are we?

Unless we're gonna force the entire population to buy into NeuralLink and not need devices―because you can stream AI directly into the brain―what is the goal here?
