Sata dvd burner

I just bought a sata dvd burner. Forgot I have an old computer and dont know if it connects to sata cable. My computer is a Dell Dimension 8100. Does anyone know if its work with sata cable.

No it will not... there is no way to make SATA work reliably on the 8100 RDRAM motherboard.
