SATA HDD Disk read error

ok, Heres my problem I have a Compaq CQ5210f with w7 and I hate it so I went to install XP on it, it worked fine then after copying files it restart and got a "read disk error" Winxp can not find the sata hdd i'm guessing. Trying to install xp home sp2.

Have you checked whether it detects the hard drive in BIOS mode?

change in bios the hdd from ahci to ide mode
