SATA - SATA11 Compatability

My mobo supports sata with a data transfer rate of 150 mbps and i wanted to know if fitting a sata11 hard drive with a transfer rate of 300mbps will work ok. Will it work just at a speed of 150mbps or are they not compatable.

Yes the SATAII hard drive will work fine

If you have one of the few setups that doesn't like SATA II, then you can just put the legacy jumper on the SATA II drive to force it to SATA I.
