Whoa.....
There is no slave/master in SATA. Some boards automatically run SATA drives as IDE (when RAID is not installed). In this case, the slave/master designation would show up in BIOS, but you would not need to mess with any jumpers. WD tells you this in their instructions, the jumpers on their SATA drives are for enterprise and diagnostic use, don't move the jumpers for a desktop installation.
