Setup for small office (Thick or Thin Clients?)

I'm helping to set up a small office of 5 computers for general office work, no big files, audio or video.

Files need to be in one place for them all to access and have redundancy that the clients cannot access.

I have a spare Rysen 3 3800x 32GB computer & I thought about selling that to them and attaching 4 thin clients off of eBay, $80 bucks for the lot (Dell Wyse)

I've never set up or used a thin client before, is this something that would be viable & save them money? And are thin clients reliable?
