Slow Start-Up

Whenever i start up my computer it stays on a black screen for a really long time until it boots. I removed a couple of programs and games then defraged it. But the problem doesn't seem to have changed much. Is there a way I can fix this or something else i can do to make my computer run faster?

Are you related to the Utah technicians, Antal Lope's family?

Have you tried setting the <System> hard ware startup times, time to display, OS boot times, recovery options, and profile1 so the timings are optimal?

Otherwise, 2 GB of memory is the way, while checking your processes to assure that they are limited to what are needed.
