The PlayStation 4 is barely three months old at this point yet it’s already time for a limited-edition console. Sony will be launching a Metal Gear Solid bundle in Japan on March 20 which will include Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes and a Fox Edition PS4 complete with a Fox emblem stamped on the top of the machine.

According to a tweet from the game’s developer, the bundle will retail for 46,980 or around $460. Considering the PS4 sells for $399 without a game, that seems like a fair price for console + game bundle. Unfortunately, there was no mention of if / when the bundle would make its way to other regions.

If you’re thinking there isn’t much to look at with the limited edition console, you certainly wouldn’t be the only one. Unlike some of the more elaborate bundles we’ve seen in years past that feature a complete reskin, the Fox Edition PS4 looks to be little more than a gold emblem slapped on the top of the system.

Diehard fans of the series will likely be interested but aside from that, I can’t really see this bundle drumming up too much interest. How about you? Is the Metal Gear Solid bundle something you’d be interested in for the limited edition console alone or would you simply be content to bypass the special system and buy the game as a standalone purchase?

If I had not bought my PS4 recently then I would definitely get the limited edition. I knew a few friends who are getting it.

I got the PS2 when Metal Gear 2 came out, PS3 when 4 came out. I'd love to get my hands on this guy for the 5th.

Well if I gamed on a console (which I don't), was a fan of the series (which I'm not) I'd still take no interest in it. It's like buying a product endorsed by a celebrity, a waste of money.

This is funny, in reality its just a sticker on a normal PS4 that comes with MGS 5... Well I mean if you were waiting for this game it makes since to buy I guess but it all depends on pricing of course.
