About 3 months ago the mouse pad started working in reverse.
If I drag the finger to left the curser goes right and if I drag the finger in up direction,
the curser goes down.
It is very confusing. Does any one have an idea about what should be done?

I will appreciate any help.

Are you sure VGN-S2750N is the model number of your Sony VAIO?

1.) Start
2.) Run
3.) type and enter "dxdiag"
4.) System Model should be listed some where in the middle of that page.

I must say, that is an odd problem which sounds like a prank. lol

Reset your mouse controls (it;s all controlled from there for left and right handers', preferences, etc.)

Look under Control Panel->Mouse

reversed controls

Is it possible that Laptop was used with a trackball? Does the mouse pointer work properly with a normal mouse plugged in a USB port? Or is that reversed too?
In 'Search' box, type 'mouse'. (Enter) Click on 'Restore defaults'

I am sorry that I made a mistake in reading the model no. The correct model no is
VGN-SZ750N.

I hope this will help in solving the problem.

Many thanks.

One more thing. The pad works in reverse direction most of the time. Sometimes if I shut off the computer and restart it, it works fine. Other times, restarting has no effect.

It went into control panel->mouse. I could not find anything that would help.
