Well, if you really want to take the moral high ground, you could always buy a new CD from Amazon for twice the price.I still buy my music, it is just a shame Google shut down Play Music because I now buy a lot less music and have turned to the used CD market on amazon and that must impact the artists much more than a shuffle button on a streaming service.
As far as used CDs are concerned, the Artist was already paid once for the disc. I'm not really certain they were expecting royalties to be paid 5 or 6 times for selling the same disc over and over.
Besides, here in the US the record sellers are dealing in new CDs as well. Usually, when you add the $4.00 shipping to the seller's price, it comes to the same price as Amazon's. And since you have to spend $25.00 from Amazon for free shipping, the bargain resides with the marketplace sellers.
On a re-release the pendulum swings back to Amazon. Like when you have some fool sitting on a disc expecting to get maybe $100.00, and the reissue is $9.95.
As far as Adele's "30" goes, I'm not hell bent on owning or listening to it over and over, in order or otherwise..
