Hi, My first post so i hope i can get some help im pulling my hair out. Everytime i start up my acer aspire rc 500, it disc checks then it comes up no signal and goes back to disc check, I've rebooted it from scratch but the problems still the same. My mate said it could be the graphics card, any help would be appreciated sorry if i have posted in the wrong place. All the best Colin

I think it is more likely to be a hard drive issue, or a memory problem. If it were a video graphics card, it would usually not issue that soon.
What is the brand and model of your hard drive? What is the age of your acer.
If you have two memory modules, remove one, and test with the other, then switch.
You may want to run MemTest86 for seven passes to see if the memory is good. Run the tests one memory module at a time.
Then if the memory is good, run the hard drive test of the hard drive manufacturer... unless it is a Toshiba or Tri-Gem which do not have drive tests... but other hard drive tests of other manufacturers will work.
