Quit being so lazy? NOPE; Voice commands are a security risk.

Researchers have shown that hi frequency sound (beyond human hearing, aka the DolphinAttack) can be used to operate any voice activated software and you will never know it is happening.

Techcrunch.com has a very good description of how harmonics are generated and they can manipulate your system(s).

Your defense - - disable Siri.

Rather incomplete title, "STOP Using voice recognition" would be better as it's not just Siri but basically all voice recognition (Siri, Google Now, Samsung S Voice, Huawei HiVoice, Cortana, and Alexa.) - and that's just what they tested. Most likely works on all, also their advice is to disable the voice assistant from having access to things like your contacts and/or disabling the wake-up phrase so it only works when you have the app open and you can see what's going on / intend to use it yourself.

Max-range: 5-feet. So unless another device is compromised and transmitting the audio signal there shouldn't be much to worry about with home devices either such as the 'Amazon Echo' or 'Google Home'.
