Resolved "System error. Hard disk failure detected..." malware?

Hello, yesterday I ducked out for a bit and when I returned to the computer the browser that I had open closed suddenly and I received a tonne of pop ups stating "system message-write fault error". Additionally I also received a "system error. hard disk failure detected" pop up. The virus/malware completely shut off my internet, but I have another computer in the house that I'm using. I tried to connect to the internet by going into safe mode with networking, then going into the browser and unchecking the proxy box, but to no avail. Here's a screenshot of my infected computer's desktop if that makes things easier. Thank you and I hope you can help me!
