System hangs w/nForce2 chipset and ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256/256

i though when u use the 3 slots it automatically turns off, in case it doesnt well u might need to remove that 3rd ram. i have 0 crashes, 0 luckups since i disabled the dual channel. and it didnt even increased any perfomance for me, looks even faster now (since its not crashing anymore).

try it out at least, if it does stop ur crashes then u know for sure whats the solution.

i couldnt even finish a match of C&C Generals due to overheating... now i can leave the computer all day working on 3d and there are 0 crashes or lockups.

Well I read now after some research that changing the order of dimms around might be enough, So I put the 512 and a 256 in one channel and 256 in the 2nd channel it should be in single channel mode since double channel requires even balance. I hope this works.
