Task manager problem

hi all,

can anyone help me on this???

Just this morning, i downloaded a virus on my com (accidently of course) and after going through the virus scans, i find that i cannot access my task manager. i tried many times pressing the controls : 'alt,ctrl,del' but to no avail. the only thing that pops up is the error: "task manager has been disabled by your administrator"....

please help,
