Hi Here's some tips that might help your W10 performance. Do you have one you would like to add? I would to love hear about it. Here's some tips from MS. IMHO some good stuff in this link.

Does a slow PC have you down? If so, try some of the following suggestions to help make your Windows 10 PC run better. The tips are listed in order, so start with the first one, see if that fixes the problem, and then continue to the next one if it doesn’t.

Hi ! Would like to hear if you have a favorite suggestion from the above link; or one that you have found, and want to share with techspot members.;) Just trying to make a hand here on techspot forum on a slow Saturday night.:D Learning new things and passing forward those things I have learned from others is what I'm all about!

I always severely limit anything from running in startup and I use Win Patrol to keep me posted on any attempts to
get into startup....Only AntiMalware, scanning software (which has to be there) and things that will not run otherwise are allowed in.
I immediately disable One Drive in Startup as I run vfile and data backup up to the minute as well as image files and always run Antimalware Pro programs in the background eliminating the need to run scans.

I'm a full believer in the new Windows Defender, but I'm also a big believer in a layered protection. I recommend Malwarebytes pro. running with WD. Even then you aren't 100% free, but you are much safer. Do not run two Anti-Virus programs in real time. If you think your PC is infected, there are several free programs you can run on demand. Here's my favorite list. If you're still infected after running these, then you need to seek profession advice. There are tons of free on demand scanners that you can run.
